you're in Mexico right?
at most big grocery stores like HEB Walmart and Soriana they sell dry texturized soy.... usually you can find it in big barrels next to all the grains and you scoop it up into a bag (its real inexpensive too).
boil like 2 cups of that soy for about 10 minutes until it gets spongey... then drain it (drain it realllly good, the soy soaks up water like a rag... make sure to soak that water out too, or else you'll be biting into water chunks)... then fry it in a pan with a little bit of vegetable oil... soy sauce and Salsa Maggie. add the sauces in moderation and try it out until it takes good.
eat this with corn tortillas, cilantro and lime... its seriously so good, and you can feed an entire army by spending no more than like $5.00 on everything.

I want to learn how to cook tofu. It all depends what you wanna do with it. Tofu's a very, very versatile ingredient. You can fry it, grill it, bake it, eat it raw, whatev. One quick recipe is for an asian style stir-fry. To prepare the tofu, you can cut it into small cubes and fry them in a bit of vegetable oil and you can add a bit of either sesame oil, or chili oil for flavor, or both. Use the sesame and chili oils in small amounts as they're just meant to add flavor. Fry the tofu until it's golden brown on all sides. Then add a bit of soy sauce to it, stir it around, then add your favorite veggies. I normally buy these bags from HEB of organic veggies called Bamboo Garden stir fry or some shit, it has like sugar snap peas, bamboo, red pepper, water chestnuts, mushrooms, baby cob corn, and some other stuff. Well just add the veggies and fry em with the tofu until they're cooked and you can add some more soy sauce or add some teriyaki into it and stir it all together, and it's done. I normally add some chow mein noodles (the crunchy ones) and some sweet red chili sauce (thai sauce). Total prep/cook time should be like 10 minutes.
