I download most of my stuff from RapidShare and other Blogs... theyre a lot more secure than Soulseek, but the only catch is that you have to find them. I browse message boards for Media sharing sections, and so far I've had great luck downloading tons of complete albums.
Soulseek is just asking for viruses. not practical at all
I also heard that there is a Plug-in that you can download for I-Tunes that allows you to download directly from other people's Itunes library... I didnt try it out though, and dont know what its like, but it sounds more appealing that Soulseek.

nah, you can't download them, only stream them, and both of the users have to be online...
It is pretty cool. The first two weeks I had it, I would just leave my computer on so I could listen to my stuff on my laptop.

I've run slsk for 3 years, and I've NEVER gotten a virus through something I d/l'd. If you get a virus through slsk...wow. You suck. haha
I've never had problems with it, and I manage to get what i need easily enough.
yeh, music blogs are also good places to check for stuff.
