Inspired by the Classic Records thread... I want to start a thread where we each request records, and whoever has it available will RapidShare it and put it up on here:
For starters, Im posting:
[/img]

- Include album artwork (google it), and track listing to make this more interesting.
- To make it even more interesting, post some of your own favorite records here to share with everyone. Description and tracks are necessary also!
- And Incase some of you could not open the files that Ive been posting... go hear and download WinRar. Kinda like WinZip but with a much larger compression ratio. Once you download it, you can compress your own folders into WinRars
www.win-rar.com/downloadnow.html - I will start moving all the albums to the first page, so you can find them here and discuss them or make requests as we go along.
- Most importantly, keep sharing.
- Personal commentary is optional, but I've included one in all of my posts!
For starters, Im posting:
Shelter - Quest For Certainty 1) In Defense Of Reality 2) Quest For Certainty 3) The News 4) After Forever (Black Sabbath) 5) Freewill 6) Saranagati 7) Society Based On Bodies (Live) 8) Death And Dying (Live) This contains the first couple of songs that Shelter ever recorded, and some of my most favorite Shelter lyrics. rapidshare.com/files/49681334/Quest_For_Certainty.rar.html it only took me about five minutes to upload, so you guys should do it too. |
Ten Yard Fight - Hardcore Pride 1) Hardcore Pride 2) Forever 3) Where I Stand 4) Believe 5) Proud To Be Straight 6) Holding On 7) First and Ten 8) Line of Scrimage 9) Enough 10) Pit of Equality 11) Drug Free Nations 12) Offsides 13) Till Death **EXTRA** 14) Salad Days (Minor Threat Cover) rapidshare.com/files/49692339/Ten_Yard_Fight.rar |
Will To Live - Tested and True 1. Into The Storm 2. All Of The Above 3. True Hero 4. Tested And True 5. In The Broken Glass 6. Every Strike 7. Chiseled In Sand rapidshare.com/files/49711368/Will_To_Live.rar.html |
(No album Cover available) Freewill - Almost Again 1. Disappear Here 2. Easy 3. Reach 4. Almost Again 5. For Times 6. Reach 7. Nothing Lasts 8. Shine 9. Every Breathe 10. Bonus Track rapidshare.com/files/45112039/_1994__Almost_Again.rar.html The reason you should download this album is because this was Mike Hartsfield's earlier band. After wards, he went on to play in Outspoken and Strife, and ran New Age Records, which had some of the best bands of the 90s (Unbroken, Mouthpiece, xChorusx).... that description alone should be enough... download his record! |
Desperate Measures - It's On Your Hands 1. It's On Your Hands 2. My Way 3. Growing Up 4. Live Your Life 5. I Fight On 6. Times You Share 7. Forgiven 8. Your Time rapidshare.com/files/49785128/It_s_On_Your_Hands.rar.html This band is more modern, although they broke up about 2 -3 years ago. They are real good hardcore reminiscent of the oldschool youth crew bands! |
Down To Nothing - The Most 1. Along For The Ride 2. Conquer The World 3. My Disguise 4. No Faith 5. Serve And Neglect 6. Down On You 7. Well Deserved 8. Running Out 9. Higher Learning 10.Your Loss, Your Regrets 11.Up River 12.Quick To Judge rapidshare.com/files/43501356/Down_To_Nothing_-_The_Most.rar.html One of today's best Straight Edge bands from Virginia. |
Verbal Assault - Trial 1 Trial 2 Understand 3 Running 4 Never Stop 5 Heal 6 Scared 7 Our Illusions 8 Alive 9 Search rapidshare.com/files/49791740/Verbal_Assault.rar.html Verbal Assault is one of my favorite bands. They played a style much different than other bands in their area at the time (I think people refer to it as post-hardcore)... they're from Rhode Island too, which is my future state of residence! Download this, its their best record! |
Refused - Rather Be Dead (1995) 1. Rather Be Dead 2. Jag Ater Inte Mina Vanner 3. Circle Pit 4. Lick It Clean 5. Voodoo People rapidshare.com/files/41670565/refused_-_rather_be_dead_e.p.__1996_.rar Refused... |
Outspoken - Don't Admit Defeat (demo) + Look Beyond (demo) 1. Heart Still Beats 2. Burning 1. Blind 2. Look Beyond 3. Own Enemy 4. Invisible rapidshare.com/files/49793758/Outspoken_2_Demos.rar.html This is undoubtedly my all time top band. Outspoken was from Hunnington Beach, California and members went on to play in Strife. What I uploaded are two hard to find demos, one which was self-released by the band on cassette, and later boot-legged onto vinyl as the Look Beyond record. This is their raw material. They got a lot better musically by The Current, so I might post that one later, but you can find their complete discography on Indecision Records and New Age records. (p.s. Burning has the best lyrics!) |
Strife - In This Defiance 1. Intro 2. Waiting 3. Force of Change 4. Stand as One (Redemption) 5. Grey 6. Will to Die 7. Blistered 8. Forgotten One 9. Wish I Knew 10. To an End 11. Overthrow 12. Outtro rapidshare.com/files/49800142/Strife_In_This_Defiance.rar.html One of the 90s biggest bands. You would have to travel to a desolate country to find someone that didn't know who they were. The last line-up of the band all broke edge and went to record a shitty non-edge album called Angermeans... it sucks, so dont bother with that one... but In This Defiance is definitely HARD! |
Under construction Supertouch - The Earth Is Flat 1. Engine 2. What If? 3. Anything It Takes 4. Vendor 5. Lock Out 6. Detectives 7. The Painted Sky 8. How Do You Feel 9. Grabbing Hold 10. Understanding 11. Shame I listen to this when I want to chill out. It's real melodic. And early 90s band from New York with members from Judge and Youth Of Today. |
In My Eyes - The Difference Between 1. The Way It Was Left 2. The K.O.S.T. 3. Advice Taken? 4. Lasting Values 5. Through The Motions 6. Actions Fall Short 7. Difference Between 8. In(My Eyes)tro / This Is Our Time 9. My Reply 10. A Little Too Late 11. Courage To Care 12. Overlooked 13. Conversation Drifts rapidshare.com/files/49810581/The_Difference_Between.rar.html Boston Straight Edge. This band was around in the time period known as the Youth Crew Revival, where many bands formed in the vein of the original Youth Crew bands of the 80s. In My Eyes should definitely be an essential part of anyone's music collection! |
Ignite - Our Darkest Days 1) Intro (Our darkest days) 2) Bleeding 3) Fear is our tradition 4) Let it burn 5) Poverty for all 6) My judgment day 7) Slowdown 8) Save yourself 9) Are you listening 10) Three years 11) Know your history 12) Strength 13) Sunday bloody Sunday (U2 cover) 14) Live for better days rapidshare.com/files/49818522/Our_Darkest_Days.rar.html Ignite has been around for more than 10 years now... they play a real appealing form of hardcore. Even if you haven't liked what I posted so far... I guarantee you this record will please you! More importantly, Read the lyrics. This band has been very outspoken and active about their politics. They sing about sexism, domestic abuse, and have anti-war songs. Seriously, theyre a great band. |
Better Than A Thousand - Just One 1) Live Today 2) It Never Rains 3) Just One 4) Motivation 5) We Spoke Our Minds 6) Nightclub 7) You Were The One 8) Alternative Nation 9) When Seasons Change 10) Is It Education? 11) Apology 12) Sunshine rapidshare.com/files/49877224/Just_One.rar.html Every band that Ray Cappo has formed has been nothing short of amazing. After doing Shelter (about 7 years of Krishnacore)... Ray Cappo went back to his Straight Edge Hardcore roots and formed BT1K! Great lyrics and oldschool music. I'll post the Value Driven album later. JUST ONE IS BETTER THAN A THOUSAND! |
Earth Crisis - All Out War 1) All Out War 2) Ecocide 3) Stand By 4) No Allegiance rapidshare.com/files/49878466/All_Out_War.rar.html Earth Crisis was the very first hardcore band that I listened to... this isn't the first album of theirs that I heard (I was introduced to Breed The Killers)... but this is definately the album that pushed me towards being vegan about 3 years after first listening to them. They took veganism to the forefront of hardcore in the early 90s and all throughout till 2001. They were the most militant of bands, and have an enourmous fanbase all around the world. This is their first release... I know these songs to heart! |
Youth Of Today - Disengage 1) Disengage 2) Modern Love Story 3) Envy rapidshare.com/files/49879089/Youth_Of_Today.rar.html This was the last recording that Youth Of Today made... you can hear the profound transition being made from Youth Of Today into Shelter. |
Have Heart- The Things We Carry 1. Life Is Hard Enough 2. Watch Me Sink 3. Armed with a Mind 4. About Face 5. Unbreakable 6. Old Man II (Last Words and Lessons Learned) 7. Song of Shame 8. To Us Fools 9. Something More Than Ink 10. Machinist 11. Watch Me Rise This is the latest from Have Heart, good record, and different sound IMO. www.sendspace.com/file/wx4t83 |
Bane - Holding This Moment rapidshare.com/files/49880839/Holding_This_Moment.zip 1. In Pieces 2. Count Me Out 3. Both Guns Blazing 4. Superhero 5. At Best 6. Scared 7. Forked Tongue 8. Every Effort Made - Lay The Blame Holding This Moment is a collection of Bane's early 7" releases. |
Undertow - Everything 1. Delusion 2. Control 3. Noose 4. Sixteen Twenty Three 5. Everything 6. Kill 7. Never 8. At Both Ends 9. Taken 10. Escape 11. Instinc 12. Apology 13. Buried 14. Cedar 15. Thrown Back 16. Where Do We Go 17. Pin 18. Sink 19. Taken 20. Cedar 21. Words On Fire 22. Pin 23. Cutting Away 24. Stalemate 25. Instinc 26. Thrown Back 27. Torn Apar 28. Building rapidshare.com/files/49881616/Everything.rar.html Download this if you're into Heavier hardcore. This band was from Seattle, and was also big in the 90s. The 90s ruled by the way! |
Die Young - The Message 1) Alive With Madness 2) Drawn In Quarters 3) The Message 4) Saved by a Precious Few 5) Anthem of the Prodigal Son 6) Fool's Gold 7) Pains of Indifference 8) Believe in Nothing 9) Parade of Idiots 10) My Only Surrender 11) The Renaissance 12) For the Pernicious Race 13) Begging for Blindness 14) The Tortured Role rapidshare.com/files/49882785/The_Message.rar.html everyone should know who Die Young is by now... if you don't, you can download it now, and pretend you knew them all along! |
Outspoken - The Current 1) Shadow 2) Innocent 3) Current 4) Burning 5) Prisoner rapidshare.com/files/49884396/The_Current.rar.html DOWNLOAD THIS. As I posted in the first page of this thread... Outspoken is my all time favorite band. This record is flawless! Great song writing, outstanding lyrics, and good production. Download this and crank it up inside your car... I guarantee that you'll be moshing! This album was released as their last 7" recording with only the first three songs, and the last two songs included for the CD release. They recorded two more songs later that can be found in some compilations, and on their discography on Indecision Records (which I recommend that everyone pick it up!)... Seriously... Read the lyrics in synch with the music and you will get hooked! |
Better Than A Thousand - Value Driven 1) Demand Independence 2) Born To Give 3) Self Worth 4) Poison In Your Brain 5) I'll Not Resist 6) Crisis Of Man 7) Once Again 8) Like The Wind 9) Power Within 10) Transformation 11) We Must Believe 12) Twelve rapidshare.com/files/49961262/Vaule_Driven.rar.html Here is the other BT1K release. A lot of the songs are catchy as hell, but this is mainly due to the over-use of the standard Fast Part - Chorus - Fast Part - Chorus - Break Down song formula. That would be my only problem with this album. The song structure on all the songs remains the same all throughout. But if I were to recommend ONE song from this album... it would have to be WE MUST BELIEVE! |
Integrity - HumanityIs The Devil 1) Vocal Test 2) Hollow 3) Psychological Warfare 4) Trapped Under Silence 5) Abraxas Annihilation 6) Jagged Visions Of My True Destiny 7) Drowning In Envy 8) Humanity Is The Devil rapidshare.com/files/49971927/Humanity_Is_The_Devil__EP_.rar.html Here is something with a little more chest hair for you ladies. In case you haven't heard of Integrity, just keep this in mind, Dwid Hellion (their vocalist) is one weird guy (he sells human skulls on Ebay!?!?)... but musically, this band pretty much defines the Cleveland Hardcore sound... mixing in heavy metal and hardcore. They're not my favorite band, but I can definitely appreciate this album. I'd say about 80% of this album is the 30 minute track at the end... yeah, 30 minute track, who ever thought that was a good idea?!?!? (Dwid) |
Halfmast - Deny Their Vision 1. Status 2. Nothing New 3. Think Ahead 4. Their Vision 5. Your Problem / Talk rapidshare.com/files/49972652/Deny_Their_Vision.rar.html This band is a bit mediocre. If you don't have a true appreciation for the oldschool, then this probably won't appeal to you (which is not a bad thing, just a difference of taste). Its Youth Crew from the mid 90s... pretty enjoyable because the song structure isn't the same all throughout. This also happens to be their best material, because everything else blew balls! THINK AHEAD BEFORE YOU ACT... DRUGS KILL AND THATS A FACT! haha, enjoy! |
1. Tourist 2. Wolves At My Door 3. Bruising Serenade 4. I Refuse 5. Life Moves On 6. What's Wrong With George? 7. Old Friend 8. Brightest Son 9. How Quickly We Forget 10. Do You Feel? 11. Coming Clean 12. Good Grief 13. Mother Theresa rapidshare.com/files/49984849/Blacklisted-the_Beat_Goes_on.rar |
Mental - Yo! 1) Bootleg 2) Heads Or Tails 3) Dark Side 4) III 5) Climbin' Aboard 6) Sucker Punched 7) III (Intro) 8) History 101 9) Mental 10) Sike! 11) Break A Sweat 12) Get An Oxygen Tank / Chiller Than Most 13) Respect 14) And You Know This rapidshare.com/files/50088152/Yo_.rar Not my favorite release from this band, but still a solid record. |
Bad Brains - Rock For Light 1) Big Takeover 2) Attitude 3) Right Brigade 4) Joshue's Song 5) I and I Survive 6) Banned in DC 7) Supertouch 8) Destroy Babylon 9) F.V.K. (Fearless Vampire Killers) 10) the Meek 11) I 12) Coptic Times 13) Sailin' On 14) Rock for Light 15) Rally Round Jah Throne 16) At the Movies 17) Riot Squad 18) How Low Can a Punk Get? 19) We Will Not 20) Jam rapidshare.com/files/50017695/Rock_For_Light.rar This is one of, if not, the most influential hardcore records of all time from one of, if not, the greatest hardcore punk bands ever. Bad Brains helped push the hardcore movement forward, and blasted out the jams to the full extent of their power. If you do not like this band as a whole, or at least this record, our friendship is in question. |
1. Exit Strategy 2. Grace 3. 39th And Glisan 4. The Furthest Place From Here 5. The Sound 6. Ten To Five 7. Int(Chi)ro 8. Roads Leading Midwest 9. Memorial 10. All Paths Of Glory 11. The Limit 12. Kiss The Sharks rapidshare.com/files/50022977/Sinking_Ships-meridian.rar |

Icepick - Gold Rush 1) Fellow Man 2) Running Wild 3) Moment of Truth 4) This Time 5) Angels n' Demons 6) Dream Crusher 7) Gold Rush rapidshare.com/files/50007829/Gold_Rush.rar Killer Cro-Mag worship from the Netherlands. These dudes take the NYHC crossover sound to a whole new level. Released in 2005, Gold Rush, was their full-length follow-up to the 2003 demo, No Forgiveness. For those who may have heard it, this album is along the lines of the Iron Age demo that Next Level Records put out, but this is better. |
Unbroken - Ritual 1. Zero Hour 2. Shallow 3. Unheard 4. My Time 5. Break Me Down 6. Reflection 7. Remain 8. Cold Front 9. Hidden Track 10. Hidden Track 11. Hidden Track rapidshare.com/files/50009854/Ritual.rar.html This is heavier hardcore from California... around in the early 90s on New Age Records. Members of Some Girls. |

They play Youth Crew, and I would compare it to Mouthpiece, even though both bands were around the same time period. Good stuff! |
Society System Decontrol - The Kids Will Have Their Say 1. Boiling Point 2. Fight Them 3. Do You Even Care 4. Not Normal 5. Wasted Yout 6. Jock Itch 7. Fun To You 8. V.A. 9. How Much Art 10. Originally known as Asking For It throughout the 90's and later on as A Fire Inside from the release of their A Fire Inside EP in '98 and onward. This album I've uploaded is one of my personal favorites from them. Released in '97, this was one of their last albums before getting more influenced by the Misfits and all things horror/goth. As gay as they seem now, I still consider them to be one of my favorite bands. I even have their two later albums. |
