a couple of things
- Del Taco has got to be the worst attempt at Mexican Food in the history of the US (not to mention the self proclaimed "best fries in the world" aren't THAT good)
- California in general makes their frijoles taste sweet... sweet beans = wtf
- I learned a new appreciation for the Texas road and freeway systems. US 101 can suck it. (we drove 50 miles in 2 hours in bumper to bumper traffic)
- 1 out of 5 cars in California drive with custom License plates. FACT
- 1 out of 6 cars in California are sports cars/convertibles.
- SoCal mountains are not that impressive... MONTERREY FTW!
I have a tendency of exaggerating everything I say on this board, but here are some good highlights:
- the weather in Ventura is amazing. The sun was out, and it was 60-70 degrees during the afternoon. Absolutely no humidity either, just cool refreshing breeze.
- Ventura beach reminded me of what going to a real beach is like...
- California drivers are so courteous... I felt like the only asshole out on the road cutting people off left and right. I think that this is due to the extreme patience they have to endure from driving on the 101 everyday
- The cultural diversity was so profound. not to mention how comfortable everyone looked with so much diversity. Texas loses this round.
- the weather the weather the weather!!!!!!
thanks for reading my personal generalizations! go to Cali some day!
P.S. another extreme generalization... Europeans don't know how to stage dive!!! Feet first dives are the worst... only losers that are too afraid to fall on their ass do them.
P.S.S. I'm just bummed that I have a big shoe print shaped bruise on my shoulder because of lame stage divers!
