NEW FOR FEBRUARY 15’TH
CAREER SUICIDE – Attempted Suicide LP $10.00
Toronto's Career Suicide have returned with their second full-length, once again combining catchy "Killed By Death" punk with the raw power and speed of early '80s hardcore but with the clear production of Jon Drew (Fucked Up's "Hidden World"). This time around, the band hired the tight, machine gun drumming of Brandon Ferrell, formerly of Municipal Waste and currently of Government Warning and Direct Control.
CIDER – They Are The Enemy LP $9.00
A newly remixed and remastered 12" version of the 2nd Cider 7" originally released by Painkiller in 2004. Includes three never before heard tracks taken from an unreleased 1996 demo, and one live cut originally from their first 7" on Non Commercial. Comes housed in an 18x24" poster sleeve.
DAS OATH – Eleven Inch 11” $11.00
International supergroup Das Oath return with seven more songs of spastic, unpredictable hardcore/art/punk on a limited 11" format. This time around, they enlist the help from friends Will Killingsworth (Orchid, Bucket Full of Teeth, Ampere), Joey Karam (The Locust, Le Shok), and Sal Gallegos (Some Girls) to form a haunting masterpiece of rage.
LA PIOVRA – One Sided 12” 12” $9.00 restock
With a beautiful colored vinyl one-sided silk-screened 12" EP, Italy's La Piovra introduce themselves to the world with their debut recording for Youth Attack. This record is six songs of lightning fast rock-n-roll hardcore. Imagine if you listened to your 33rpm Chuck Berry records at 45 instead.
OUT WITH A BANG – I’m Against It 7” $4.50
This record originally came out last year as a one sided 12” in a very limited quantity. Here it is again as a 7” with one new song available for the masses. Rabid/retarded Italian punk fronted by Alessandro of the late great GRABBIES.
RETAINERS – Teenage Regrets 7” $4.50
For those of you who haven't heard the RETAINERS 7" yet they play blown out garage rock along the lines of JEFFREY NOVAK, THE REATARDS, FEELERS etc.. And I mean blown out. It sounds like everything was in the red when they recorded this. Perfect!
STEP FORWARD – 10 Song EP 7” $4.50
Boston sXe in the tradition of Minor Threat, 7 Seconds, Uniform Choice and Straight Ahead. Tuneful, fast and void of any “rock” pretensions, coded messages or slow songs. If it wasn’t such a cliché you could say this straight edge hardcore the way it was meant to be played. Step Forward also compiles an all star cast of ex members from all the bands you drop tons of money for on ebay.
V/A – Toronto City Omnibus LP $10.00
This compilation LP brings together nine of Toronto's best and most well known hardcore and punk acts with some of its more underappreciated bands. Bands featured are Haymaker (6 songs including a Reagan Youth cover), Scare Tactic (pre-Career Suicide), Fucked Up (demo version of the song "Generation"), Career Suicide (demo recording), Class Assasins (street punk), Legion 666 (crusty black metal), Murder Squad T.O. (crust), The Blue Demons (surf punk), and Riot 99 (alcohol-fueled street punk).
THE VICIOUS – Alienated LP $9.00
The Vicious bring back the spirit of 1977, playing six songs of a dark style of punk that can be compared to The Damned, Dead Boys and Bags, but with male vocals. To play the ex members card, Cult Of Luna, DS-13, Regulations, The International Noise Conspiracy, Bruce Banner… You get the idea.
