Personally, I thought the movie did a pretty good job to being as close to the comic book as possible.
I like the really dark kind of lighting it had. It set the mood...haha.
For the most part, it was fucking bad ass, IMO. Most movies are historically inaccurate anyway. That's why they're called movies. If you wanted a fucking documentary on the Battle of Thermopylae, go watch the history channel.
And Carlos, not to be a fag and correct you and all, but it's Xerxes and he wasn't black. He looked like a pretty convincing Persian. Considering the dude who portrayed him was Brazilian.

ohh i haven't seen this movie....it doesn't interest me at all....I pretty much heard all of it from all the stupid people who went to go see a stupid movie

Check out the "300" workout:
25x Pull-ups
50x Deadlift @ 135lbs
50x Push-ups
50x Box Jump @ 24” box
50x Floor Wiper @ 135lbs
50x KB Clean and Press @ 36lbs (KB must touch floor between reps)
25x Pull-ups
300 reps total
That's the actual workout that the actors in the movie had to do. Some dude who owns a gym toned it down to make it a bit easier for his strongest clients and they did it in about 50 minutes while Andrew Pleavin who played Daxos, leader of the Arcadians, did it in 18.
